Community Promoters

The Black Country is full of amazing community venues and passionate people who want to see more live theatre and dance in their communities. We support them to bring professional touring shows to their local library, museum, art gallery or community centre. We provide support with booking, venue management, marketing and keeping ticket prices affordable.

Robert Bruce from the Dorothy Parkes Community Centre in Smethwick, shared his experience of being a Community Promoter:

“I’m not an expert in terms of the arts and that’s where the support of Black Country Touring is so valuable. It’s great for the community. The last show we had, Beauty & The Beast, sold 96 tickets and we had people talking about it online. On the day, it’s great when you see how busy the centre gets and you hear the kids laughing – it brings families together.”

“To be able to access high quality productions like this, in my local community, gives me such a boost to my wellbeing and helps me escape the stress of everyday life.”  – Audience feedback
