Volunteering and Placement opportunities

We feel it is important that people have the chance to gain direct experience of participating in the performing arts and so offer a range of opportunities where people can gain experience at a level they feel comfortable with.

Volunteering

We offer a range of volunteer opportunities for local people from all walks of life and cultures to participate in our theatre productions and projects. Volunteer opportunities vary and we would always provide relevant training needed for the role. You could become a researcher, steward, sing in a choir or perform in a show!

If you fancy getting involved and doing something creative then why not sign up to our volunteer database and have regular opportunities emailed out to you.

If your unsure what to expect watch the video below of our previous volunteers.

Placements

Black Country Touring offers a range of placements from working within our office through to set design and performance. Our placements take on important roles within our productions, gaining valuable practical skills to move forward in the creative industry for future employment.

We work with local universities including Wolverhampton, Warwick and Nottingham Trent to offer placements for graduates who have studied a range of degrees.

We also offer opportunities to see how BCT works on a day to day level, by working alongside the BCT team in the office.

If you have a keen interest in any aspect of theatre, we’d love to hear from you.
